In 2020, MEDIA LOVES TECH opens to Maghreb countries! 

In 2020, the incubation program becomes regional: in addition to Tunisia, teams from Morocco and Algeria are also invited to submit project ideas! 

In a region where economic challenges are similar, the markets of the Maghreb countries can enrich each other. This is why MEDIA LOVES TECH is convinced that the expansion of its network in Morocco and Algeria will optimize the potential of the projects and the work of the teams.

Editorial line, business model, design and development: throughout the month of November, the 9 teams still competing received training at Al Khatt to refine their projects!

Hackathon

Hackathon from 10 to 12 October 2019

Teams, experts and guides all gathered during the Hackathon!

From 10 to 12 October 2019, 9 teams qualified after Phase 1 met in Tunis for 3 intense working days.

Accompanied by experts, they were able to improve their project before presenting it to a test jury… in preparation for the grand finale.

The final applications will be submitted until Sunday, November 24.

The winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 4 during the awards ceremony!

The 10 pre-selected teams are currently following a series of 3 webinars with various experts. Themes: business model canvas, financing and prototyping. It is the opportunity to discover the projects, to exchange… and to put first faces on the participants!

On Wednesday, June 12, Media Loves Tech was on RightsCon Tunis 2019 to present a panel entitled “Digital solutions for viable journalism in Tunisia”. The various speakers explained how journalists and start-ups can work together for better journalism.
